Vortal included in Deloitte’s "Technology Fast 500 EMEA" ranking

Vortal recently reached number 210 in the ranking of TMT (Technology, Media and Telecommunications) companies with the highest growth in Europe, with an 839% cumulative increase over the past 5 years. This honour was awarded as part of the Deloitte European Technology Fast 500 EMEA program, which recognises and distinguishes the top 500 European companies in terms of growth.
Three Portuguese Tech Companies Lead Growth in the EMEA Region
For the first time, three Portuguese companies are included in Deloitte’s "Technology Fast 500 EMEA" ranking. Maritz Marketing (the company that created Vida é Bela), Vortal and Multicert are the three Portuguese companies included in the ranking of technology companies with the fastest growth in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa).
Ranked 46th, Maritz Marketing has grown by 3013.33% over the past five years. Meanwhile, Vortal – Comércio Electrónico, Consultoria e Multimédia grew 838.9% over the same period and growth for Multicert was 550.54%.
The Israeli companies Voltaire, Celltick Technologies and Runcom Technologies took the first three places. The United Kingdom has the most ranked companies, with 91 of the 500, followed by France with 68.
Average five-year revenue growth for all companies is 1443%: the highest amount since these awards began in 2000.
Israeli companies occupy the first three spots in the ranking, while Dutch company Tom Tom is in fourth place.
The software sector continues to dominate the ranking, making up 200 of the 500 companies listed.
"As evidenced by the exceptional performance of Israel, tech-acceleration nations are emerging. Proportional to population numbers, technology firms in Norway, Israel, Sweden, Ireland, Finland and the Netherlands are in a class of their own when it comes to technology acceleration, with high-growth technology firms up to 5 times more common than anywhere else in the region", according to the same source.
The Technology Fast ranking for the EMEA region shows a consistent increase in annual growth, in contrast to the North America Fast ranking, where average growth rates over five years have been falling since 2001: from 6.772% in 2002 to 1.823% in 2007.q
This ranking includes public and private technological companies from 21 countries in the EMEA region with revenue in excess of €50 thousand in their first year. This is the most objective ranking in the technology sector and is created by Deloitte’s Global Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Practice.
